As filming and planning has been confused with filming, we have decided to look back at our research and analyse further as to what makes these existing trailers affective and scary. We started looking at 'The Call' and '30 Days of Night' and noted that in both of these trailers, a girl or woman is introduced in distress whether it is emotional or controlled, a build up is created followed by them being dragged away. Jodi, Chelsea and myself really took to this idea so decided to build a plan around this.
We liked the idea from the majority of our research into existing trailers that it is filmed at either dusk or night time. We had previously experimented with filming at night for the last plan, this did not turn out well as it was unclear and very hard to see the footage on the screen when it came to editing. We tried to ammend this by carrying out these shots in day, this took the eerie atmosphere away so have decided to take the idea of filming at dusk into action next time we film.
